Why Support Music Education?
Music is essential
Cognitive benefits
Music education can improve attention span, memory, and reading fluency. It can also help with geometrical skills, mathematical problem solving, and spatial tasks.
Emotional development
Music can help people regulate their emotions and express themselves. Learning an instrument can teach patience, as it takes time to master a song
Better SAT scores
Students who have experience with music perform better on the SAT.
Better self-confidence
Music education can help students learn concentration, dedication, and persistence. These skills can help students perform well in school.
Work ethic and discipline
Music education can help students learn the importance of hard work, determination, and a positive mindset.
Language and math skills
Music education can help improve language and math skills.
